I'm replacing a deck approx. 8x40 as we have raised our cottage 36". The cottage has a floating cinderblock foundation and I've been told my deck has to be the same, therefore, can I use the dek-blocks at the front and still attach to the ledger board, as both structures are 'floating' and if so, how would I re-adjust the spacing and number of blocks required? The previous deck was 10x40, also attached to the ledger and on standard cinderblocks as it was only 12" off the ground. Also, I've noticed something called a Decksaver Bracket. Do you have any information on the usefulness of this product.

You will need to build as our plans and instructions show. Keep the deck completely separate from the cabin. The system was designed and approved for use in a specific manner we cannot allow the system to be attached to the cabin.

I tried to do some research on the product you mentioned but could not find anything.
