I don't understand why you can go over the edge of blocks on oneside but not on the other.
Wouldn't it be easier to hide the blocks on all sides with the framing edge?

If you would like to hide the blocks on all sides you will need to use a feature call "Hiding the piers". The instructions for this are on the website. The following link will take you there.
