We are working on the plans. There are a lot of different size pools and configurations. Things take longer to complete in the middle of the summer when we have A LOT of people across the country building decks of all types and sizes. We have made a few modifications to the plan and methods in the splash deck. We have been testing these methods this summer on different decks. A Splash pool deck is not some simple backyard bench that just sits there. There are major health safety and building code requirements to consider. We take this extremely serious and want all of our plans to be accurate and safe. If we aren't accurate, it will cost you and me a lot of time and money.
Yes, we sell Dek-Block brand piers. These are a very small percentage of the overall cost of the deck. I/we don't want to give out plans that aren't safe, waste materials, or inefficient designs just to sell a few more blocks. I truly hope people don't believe that we recommend different sizes, or methods or requirements just to sell a couple more blocks. This is not true.
We hope to have completed plans by the end of July. I too wish we had them done sooner, but until they are 100% complete, we are not going to post them.
If you are needing a plan sooner, please visit
www.customdeckplans.com They have agreed to provide a 4ft or 5ft Splash plan and material list (no custom modifications) for $50 until our plans are complete. Submit their standard planning guide with your size pool and deck width. Add "Deckman Splash Forum Special" to one of the drawings.
