I initially was going to build my 8 x 16 deck this week / weekend. I now realize that I do not have 13 1/2 inches from the bottom of my door to the ground. How much of the dek block can be buried? Any?
I would move dirt to get the ground lower, but do not want to have too low ground to where it holds water.
Any suggestions? I really do not want to pour concrete and stand poles to build my deck / porch.

I would not recommend burying wood. I would recommend that the wood be at least 2 inches above the dirt.
