Overview
I would like to contribute my photos of my deck. It is not totally finished but very close. Still requires some railing, an additional bench, and staining. However, I just wanted to let you know how pleased my wife and I am with your deck blocks. We were both skeptical about the deck blocks supporting our hot tub.
We had ordered a 6-person hot tub that holds about 450 gallons of water. Therefore, we needed the deck to support about 4500 5000 pounds. I followed your specification as outlined on the web site. The end result was a very strong and supported deck.
As you see in the photos my yard was not level. My friend and I started by spacing the blocks as instructed. We located the highest point and leveled the post from this point out. At the highest point we used a 4-inch post and the lowest point we used a 21-inch post. Using the deck blocks sure was easier then having to set piers. My friend who set piers was very impressed with the deck blocks and said he would use them in the future.
A true believer,
Michael Resch
