Wow! What an easy way to build a deck! Since my wife and I moved into this house, we have wanted to build a deck. There was an aluminum awning over half of the concrete pad and it was hardly attractive. One of the other purchases we wanted to make was a hot tub. So once the hot tub arrived, the plan to build the deck was in motion. Down came the awning and up went the deck. I had been looking at your web site for months, dreaming about how our new deck would pan out. I purchased the materials at the local Home Depot and a friend and I started work on Friday morning and put if the last screw on Saturday morning. We were amazed at how quick the lower level of the deck was to put together and impressed with how sturdy it was. |
About one month later, I decided to wrap the deck around the hot tub. I knew it was going to be a little more of a challenge since I didn't have a concrete pad to place the blocks on. However, with the simple instructions, I was able to complete the upper level of the deck in two days. Since that time, I have landscaped the remainder with pea gravel and placed lattice underneath the upper level of the deck. We had our son's first birthday party at our home and everyone was very impressed with the deck. Thanks again DekBrands and if we ever move, you will be supporting our new deck and we will send more pictures.
