| Cross bracing is installed. Not only do you need to cut the boards at an angle to make them cross diagonally, you also need to cut them at a 7-degree angle the board-thickness way in order to accommodate the angle of the trapezoid frames. Obviously, it helps to have a miter saw that does angles both ways. | According to deckplans.com's building plans, cross-bracing is only necessary if the deck is over 30", so I only needed to put bracing in the first three, and in the last segments. I would have done all of them if I would have had the room, but the majority of them are right above the ground level. | |

| In most cases towards the middle, there was no need or way to do cross-bracing. | ||
I did, however install bracing depth-wise on all supports. The problem is, the bracing should alternate in direction, but in most places, I was unable to do that. I can only run bracing from the pool side to the outside. |
