Lenny Carlson - Pool Deck Project
Summer 2005

As you can see the steps make it easier for EVERYONE to get out of the pool. As you can see Hunter was a bit on the hot side too so she decided to go for a swim.   Another wide view of the deck facing North.

A picture showing almost all of the center pieces in place. We put down all of the 2x6 pieces from the center of each section out to the edges and when that step is all complete we will go back and cut all the angle pieces to finish the deck boards.   The last 2 sections left to deck.

A picture of the steps   Another picture of the steps.

This picture may be out of sequence but it shows a good overhead picture of the framework next to the pool with the retaining wall.   It is time to start filling in the gaps.

We cut the angles for fitting the first section. These angles were all hand measured and cut by my neighbor Tom. He has a worm drive skill saw that doesn’t slow down cutting this wet treated lumber and he is fantastic at cutting freehanded. Thanks Tom.   A picture showing most of the angles cut and in place. This part took awhile but we wanted the sections to look symmetrical so that meant angles needed to be cut on both sides of the section instead of just the one side as shown in the plans.
