This is the most common deck system. There are countless applications for a rectangular including patios, sun decks and tiered systems. Rectangular decks are also the easiest to construct. With simple modifications, rectangular decks can be arranged to make virtually any size or shape of deck.

Option Descriptions
Depth: The distance the deck extends out from the house.
Width:The distance the deck runs parrallel to the house.
*Reverse the dimensions to have the decking boards run in the opposite direction
Decking Material
2"x6" Decking: A deck constructed using 2"x6" decking boards is the most time and cost efficient to build. It maximizes the lumber strength and reduces the quantity of Dek-Block® piers.
5/4 x 6 or Composite Decking: A deck constructed using 5/4"x6" wood decking or composite decking will require more support boards. This will increase the quantity of Dek-Block® piers.
