 Here's our pool. We had it installed in August 2003. We got sick of the heat, and the kids are getting to the age where they can learn to swim and really enjoy the water.The problem is, our property doesn't have a flat surface on it, save the driveway. The most ideal place to put it is here, which is a hill, albeit not a really steep one. Surprisingly, that slope, after digging enough ground out to put the pool, was over 7' from end to end. Originally, I thought we could just dig half in, and take that ground, move it to the other end, and build up. Well, I was told by more than one person that shouldn't be done, and the contractor hired to excavate refused to do it that way. I took a hint.
